This is one the easiest and yummiest recipes for cheese biscuits that I have come across. I found this on the fantastic website Happy Mum Happy Child.
There are lots of other delicious recipes to scroll through plus an amazing and supportive mum who talks about her challenges and joys as a mum and supports and encourages conversation. I whipped these out in about 15 minutes and the smell through the house was amazing. The kids loved these and they were great for an afternoon snack or for morning tea. Obviously it is mainly cheese so there is not much else in them which makes them something healthy for snacking on.
Here is her amazing recipe for yummy cheese biscuits goodness as per her fantastic website:
INGREDIENTS
5 Cups grated cheese (I used a good old block of Tasty, but feel free to try different cheeses)
1 Cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 Cup Cold Water
DIRECTIONS
Line baking trays with baking paper and heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. This recipe makes about 3 trays.
Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Add water until it forms a nice easy, rollable dough. Roll the dough out to about 1cm thickness. Cut into 2x5cm strips (or whatever size you want). Place each strip onto the baking tray, with a 1cm gap between each strip.
Cook in the oven until golden (about 10-15 minutes).
These are so easy to do, see I told you! I have added cheese and flour accordingly each time to make cheesier if you want!

Oh my!! My mouth is watering just looking at the picture! Wondering if I could make this with tapioca flour instead of regular flour.

Ha ha I know the feeling! I only had block cheese and was grating for a while. Good arm work out! But definitely worth it for the smell in the kitchen and the taste. Thanks for checking it out. 🙂
