Hump Day Hype Link Up #1 – Getting Over the Hump This Week

Hump Day Hype Link Up

I am super excited to be on board with the beautiful Fi from Mumma Morrison with our Hump Day Hype Link Up!  It is great to read some new blogs and meet some other awesome bloggers out there!  Hope you enjoy the link up too.

When it hits hump day, it is all about getting over it and seeing the sweetness of Friday approaching!  My work roster haback to schools changed this year.  I used to have Wednesdays off work and go to work on Thursday and Friday so my head is in an absolute spin because it is only Wednesday and I keep thinking it is Thursday.  I really need help getting over the hump today.

My son went back to school this week and started grade 2.  He loves school but it is always hard after a long 8 week break to get back into it and find out your new teacher and a new class.  Last week he was completely adamant he was not going back.  When I asked him how he would learn anything he sad he would “google it”.  Fabulous.  Good one mum for needing google every time I am asked a question these days.  Thankfully he has decided that perhaps being at school isn’t so bad and has settled in nicely with good friends in his class and he likes his teacher.  That is almost enough to get me over the hump this week.

Speaking of google and questions, to get me over the hump this week I do have one question from my son that apparently I must find out the answer to.  He got a new pair of school shoes which have the air bubble thingy in the heel. My job is to find out how they get the air in the air bubble part and how does it stay there.  I mean, really? The only thing that came to mind whenyummy tacos I was driving was syringes pushing air in and those big vacuum seal bags and I am sure I mumbled something about both and hoped he forgot.  But my son never forgets.  If anyone knows, please pass on this information.

Tacos.  Tacos will get me over the hump this week.  I have already purchased all necessary ingredients for dinner Thursday night for tacos.  I think I should have Mexican in another life because I just love them.  Really anything that involves cheese, sour cream and avocado is a winner in my books.  So I am going to look forward to my tacos and inhale them like nobodies business tomorrow night.

So there is my hype for hump day. So what is getting you over the hump this week?

Wednesday is the last day of my work week, for this year at least, so that makes Wednesday night really Friday night and so a gin and tonic was definitely in order. Do not question my logic.

    • Reply In The Lyons Den 02/02/2017 at 1:48 pm

Oh how good is that! Definitely calls for a G & T. I would not dare question that logic because it makes perfect sense to me and I would have one with you!

tacos. tacos are always the answer. but they don’t even have to be the street tacos from the mexican restaurant. literally, anything in a tortilla is good enough for me. I had a nutella taco — nutella, banana, and strawberry in a flour tortilla. heaven.

Oh my goodness. This is so true. I agree and now I have a craving for your tortilla heaven creation. Delicious!!!
